I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for you to make sense of the issues you may be facing right now. I understand that we all cope in various ways and experience a range of emotions: anxiety, stress, grief, loss, depression, anger, and confusion. We work together to find healthy ways of coping so that you can discover solutions that help you move forward toward your vision of a fulfilling life.
As a counsellor and social worker, I have experience working with a wide range of complex situations, including: grief and loss (death, relationship breakdown, loss of employment) mental health issues (diagnosed or undiagnosed)
relationship issues (couples or triads)
trauma (physical, sexual, emotional – including adult survivors of childhood abuse) gender issues (questioning, coming out, transitioning, supporting partners/families of LGBTQ2+ individuals)
In our work together, we will draw on a number of approaches that combine talk therapy and creative expression. My techniques combine the best tools from various therapeutic models: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, or Solution-focused Therapy. Our work will be tailored to your needs and goals.
